Builder track and field traveled to Pittsburgh State University April 16 to compete in the Eighth Annual David Suenram Gorilla Classic.

On the men’s side, Seth Topham, biochemistry junior, was the only Builder to grab a top-five finish. He finished 5th in the 110 Meter Hurdle race with a time of 15.17.

The women were able to pull a few more top finishes. Bailey Collier, athletic training junior, finished second in High Jump with a jump of 1.74m.

Taylor Needham, biochemistry sophomore, also grabbed a second-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.98. The women’s 4X400 team also finished the day with a fifth place finish.

Next, the track and field team will travel to Hillsboro April 23 to compete in the Tabor Invitational.
