Women’s soccer improves their conference record to 3-0 after a very impressive 2-0 victory over Saint Mary.
The Lady Builder’s first goal came in the second half with 48 minutes left. Tiffany Butler, senior forward, was given a free penalty kick and did not waste the opportunity, scoring the goal with ease. The next goal would come from Hailey Rouse, freshman midfielder, who was set up nicely by Butler.
On the offense, the Lady Builders stayed on the attack, keeping the ball on their half of the field and firing off 22 shots against the Spires.
The lady soccer team is back on Saturday to defend their undefeated record on their home turf as they battle with Ottawa. The Braves have a record of 2-3 in conference.
Joe Wood, head women’s soccer coach, plans to keep up the intensity in practice as the Lady Builders look to make a run this season. The team as a whole is very confident in their talent and preparation for the remaining games.
