ABOVE: AJ Gross, a midfielder freshman, charges towards the goal to attempt a goal against the Warriors. The Builders held their own against Sterling and ended the game in overtime 0 – 0.

It was a strong fight last night as both sides defended each other’s advances. Senior night preceded the game and there are eight senior men on the team. The seniors are Dean Wilson, goalkeeper, Daniel Clarke, defender, Tre Thomas, forward, Justin Calicchia, midfielder, Bryson Barrett, defender, Tino Soliz, defender, Tatenda Mbabvu, midfielder, and Jacob Moyo, middle.

Southwestern went 0 – 0 last night against the Warriors. However, the night wasn’t a complete bust. Southwestern College’s own Bryson Barrett, computer science senior, proposed to his girlfriend of two years right before the men’s game! She said yes and the two lovingly embraced on the field.

It was a great night of soccer, filled with emotion and energy.
