The Music Honors Recital will take place at 7 p.m. on Sept. 4 in the Richardson Performing Art Center.

“This performance is free and very much worth coming to,” said Troy Fort Southwestern music alumnus.

The individuals performing in this event have worked very hard, and with the help of Jeremy Kirk, assistant professor of music chair, this will be a very special performance.

“Seeing the students’ growth and progress is the most exciting aspect of preparing for this event,” said Kirk.

The students performing were in the top 10 of all students for their musical jury scores. Placing this well is an accomplishment among the students.

“There has been no challenge with this group of students. They have all been very dependable and hardworking,” said Kirk.

These students, with the help of Kirk, have been preparing for this event for half of a year and are excited to showcase their skills.
