The Builders ended the season on a four game skid, falling in Lindsborg against the Bethany College Swedes 37-26 Saturday afternoon. The loss brings the Builder’s final record to 4-7 on the year and 3-6 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Three turnovers and a meager 54 passing yards plagued Southwestern’s offense. They fell behind early when Bethany took a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Though the Builders outscored the Swedes in the second and fourth quarters, they never led during the game.

The rushing attack by Southwestern accrued 255 of the team’s 309 of total offense. Bethany had 228 yards of their own on the ground, 168 of them coming from Tevis Linnebur, sophomore running back. Linnebur also had two rushing touchdowns.

Southwestern finished the year seventh in the KCAC, one game behind McPherson College.
