Bates named KCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Brett Bates is a 5-6 senior guard from Hobart, Okla. Bates was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Bates has average 21.3 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 rebounds over the three victories last week, against, Oklahoma Wesleyan, McPherson, and Kansas Wesleyan.

The Lady Builders first game was against Oklahoma Wesleyan, Bates scored 22 points. Then they faced McPherson College, and Bates continued scoring finishing with 20 points. During the Lady Builders last game, Bates continued with high numbers scoring 22 points and shooting seven of eight at the line.

The Lady Builders prepare to hit the road to face Ottawa University on Jan. 12.
