Spin-off book a nice edition to series

By Taylor Finke
Staff reporter
As a relatively rabid fan of British television, and an avid bibliophile to boot, you can safely assume that if a book shows up in a British show, I’m going to read it. This was the case with ‘Summer Falls’ by Amelia Williams.
The short e-book follows the adventures of a young girl [...]

‘Oblivion’ drags viewers into film

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went to ‘Oblivion’. I initially passed it off as just another film where Tom Cruise plays the same character he always does. But instead, ‘Oblivion’ kept me guessing the entire time. This is truly a sci-fi/action movie with plenty of brain to balance out the brawn.

Television miniseries gives mixed feelings

I really wanted to like ‘Spies of Warsaw’, and I tried hard. But at the end of it all, I came away with mixed feelings. 3-D dinosaur remake worth another watch

Like most people, I think that re-releases are a way for companies to rake in money without actually creating anything new. However, when the movie is a huge part of your childhood and you’ve only ever seen it through the haze of a video cassette, seeing it on the big screen can bring you right back to that age when you first saw it. As a 90s baby and former dinosaur fanatic (due to this movie), I felt the need to relive my childhood by watching ‘Jurassic Park’ in 3-D this past weekend.

‘The Walking Dead’ serves up killer Season 3

Season 3 of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is the best and most intense one so far. While the first season built everything, and the second expanded it, the third makes you feel all of it. The inhumanity and the death, but most of all, the life.
