Convocation honors soon-to-be grads

On Thursday afternoon, the annual Honors Convocation took place at 4 p.m. in Richardson Performing Arts Center. Prior to the ceremony, graduates walked up the 77 steps, a tradition for Convocation. The event featured a speaker and music as well as the announcement of this year’s Masterbuilders and the Student Government Association Teaching and Non-Teaching Citations.

This year’s Masterbuilders are Myron Fisher, middle level mathematics education senior, Jordyn Miller, athletic training senior, Craig Lantz, computer science senior, Tomunci Whitfield, biology senior, Jacob Horsch, business administration senior, and Tanner Carlson, communication senior. The SGA Teaching Citation was awarded to Stacy Sparks, associate professor of journalism, and the SGA Non-Teaching Citation was awarded to Arthur Verdugo of Fresh Ideas.
