Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the College
Has been talking to the President about forming a formal connection between the students and the President. RPV would like to for what is called the “Dean’s Advisory Council.” Would like to gain knowledge about what is happening in the academic side of the college from as many viewpoints as possible. Will be great to start after elections, should have more senators for more input. Will probably come back on April 24th for more feedback. Faculty has 8 committees with one executive committee. Assessment committee focusses on how things are going in the academic program. There is a goal to improve student input on year end course evaluations.
Senators suggest to shorten the evaluation. Students would love receiving incentive (extra credit) for filling out the evaluation.
