Baseball sweeps Benedictine in home-opener

The Southwestern College baseball team faced Benedictine College in a double header on Friday, Feb. 9 at the Broadway Complex. This was the first home game for a Builder Baseball team in 67 years.

Southwestern started the first game off strong scoring 4 runs in the first inning, but the team didn’t stop there scoring 4 more runs and ending the game with an 8-3 win over Benedictine. The Builders won the second game over the Ravens as well in a 4-3 victory.

Next week the Builders travel to Ottawa, KS for games on Feb. 17th at 12:00 pm & 2:30 pm and on February 18th at 1:00 pm.
