Baseball plays first home-opener in 67 years

The Southwestern Moundbuilders will have their first home game in 67 years Friday as they take on Benedictine for a two game series at Broadway.

The Builders split their first games of the season in four game series against Southwestern Christian in Bethany, OK. The weekend was one of first’s, being the first time Southwestern has fielded a team on the ball field in nearly seven decades. Chay Toson, junior outfielder, recorded the first hit for the revitalized program, and the team recorded its first two wins of the season on the second day of the series.

The Moundbuilders will open up the season at Broadway at noon on Friday.
