Southwestern outlasted the longest KCAC road trip so far in this season Saturday afternoon, beating York College 75-71.
Kenzi Taylor, senior guard, scored her new record of 16 points leading the Lady Builders into Saturday’s game. Me’Shelle Parker, senior guard, added 14 points to the board. Jazmyne Laskey, freshman guard, scored 7 points, Taylor Henderson, junior guard, Maddie Rogers, freshman guard, Kilah Hoenscheidt, junior guard, Kayla Demel, senior guard, and Mandy Adams, junior post, all finished adding 6 points to the board.
32.3% of the scores were from the floor. 29.4% of the points were made from the three point line.
Southwestern scored the first 6 points of the game. York came back to take the second quarter. They also took over the third quarter. The Builders had a great come back in the final quarter with a final score of 75 – 71.
