The Lady Builders volleyball team claimed a victory against Sterling in their game Wednesday night. With four sets, 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 28-26, the Builders had the game from the start with the exception of just one set of a 2-point difference that gave the Lady Builders a score of 3-1.
Abby Warnke, senior middle, and Amber Martinez, freshman designated setter, led offensively. Warnke put down 16 kills and Martinez had 11. Catabrean Baumann, sophomore setter, set 40 of Southwestern’s 51 kills and Kadyn Jones, freshman setter, led the team with 26 digs.
This was the team’s first win against Sterling in eight years.
The ladies will play on the road again at 7pm on Oct. 15 against McPherson College.
