Softball season ends in double header loss

The Southwestern softball season came to an end Wednesday evening after being swept in a doubleheader by Kansas Wesleyan.

Scoring was limited in the first game. The Coyotes put up two runs in the third and topped it off with one in the fifth. The Lady Builders were defeated 3-0.

The second game consisted of more players crossing home plate. Kansas Wesleyan was quick to the board scoring two runs in the first inning.

Alejandra Palacios, marine biology senior, scored the solo run of the game for the Lady Builders in the second. The Coyotes responded with another run of their own. Kansas Wesleyan brought three more across home plate in fifth and topped off the scoring with one more in the sixth.

The Lady Builders finished their season with a 10-30 record overall and 4-15 in KCAC play.
