Nearly a hundred prospective students swarmed campus Saturday for the annual Explore More Day. The admissions office expected around 90 high school students to come and learn more about Southwestern College.
Ambassadors took the students and their families on tours in waves and while they waited for their tour, they listened to a financial aid seminar.
Many athletic teams took advantage of this big event for recruiting and had many football, volleyball, and golf recruits attend the event.
After their tours concluded, the students assembled for a meeting with a professor in their desired field of study and then headed for lunch. The prospective students did not get the college cafeteria buzz, though. Instead, they were offered a meal provided by Fresh Ideas in front of Reid Hall at the college-wide tailgate party.
After eating and before the football game, the families had the opportunity to look at the different organizations on campus like Discipleship, Green Team, and Leadership to get a sense of what it is like to be a part of the Builder family.
