The Lady Moundbuilders toppled McPherson Saturday evening to improve to 4-0 in conference play. After falling behind12-6 in the first half, Southwestern turned on the jets to take out the Lady Bulldogs 71-51.

McPherson struggled in the first half to make baskets, shooting just 19.6 percent from the field. Jana Reichenberger, freshman forward, made a shot inside as time expired to give Southwestern a 35-22 lead at halftime. Reichenberger led the team in points with 14. Sheri Zoglmann, junior guard, was the only other player on the team to reach double digits with 10 points.

Despite only hitting three of 10 shots from the field, Ali Brewster, sophomore guard, led all scorers with 16 points. She hit nine of 10 free throws during the game.

Southwestern takes a long road trip to Florida, playing Warner Southern College at 2 p.m. Dec. 15.
